The SNOEZELEN / MSE work was brought to Brazil by Mrs. Marisa Amada Pires Sella, graduated in Pedagogy, History and in Special Education – intellectual disability, and by Marileuza P. Assunçao, History teacher. In 2005, they participated in the Congress in Holland

– Mastrish, and became very interested in the subject, as applied to AMCIP’s target which are babies and children at high risk and or with disabilities, from 0 to 06 years old.

Due to the excellent results presented at the international meetings, they took a course in the USA in 2007 with Mrs. Linda MeIssbauer and installed the first room in Brazil in her Organization: AMCIP (ASSOCIATION MAINTAINING THE INTEGRATED PREVENTION CENTER) a non-profit philanthropic entity.

Again, the work drew the attention of other entities. The great demand with interest in opening rooms, led us to new training, this time with Mrs. Ana Maria Galli from Argentina. In that period we participated in the ISNA World Congress in France -Paris / 2011; ISNA International Congress in Argentina which presents papers 2015; two Latin American Seminars in Buenos Aires where, again, we presented works 2012 and 2013.
In Brazil, due to the territorial extension (8,500,000km2) and the financial situation of the Organizations, we had to develop a facilitating strategy in the dissemination of the method, a concept where an organization would be the multiplier within its respective State, after doing a course and training in Curitiba. The course includes 44hs of theoretic classes, 60hs of practice, and 120 for a scientific article.

In these 15 years, we held two Brazilian Journeys of Multisensory Stimulation SNOEZELEN / MSE the 1st. At PARANA -Curitiba on 20 15,/ and the 2nd. in SÃO PAULO-Bauru 2017n;/ International Congress of Gereotechnology in São Paulo 2016. We have 10 Brazilian states with representation, around 150 trained higher education professionals, and 40 ROOMS in operation. In 2015, we installed the SNOEZELEN / MSE-Brazil CENTER to unite all those applying the SNOEZELEN / MSE approach in order to update and exchange experiences
